Automation Technician EFZ

Automation Engineers wire and cable electrical and pneumatic controls and systems, which are then installed and connected to machines.
Automation Engineers also carry out minor mechanical work and assembly. Apprentices also assemble cables for customised systems. This involves crimping and soldering various contacts and contact types.

TASKS:

Tubing and testing of pneumatic system components

SPS training module

Contact crimping and connector assembly

Cable and connector soldering

Wiring of electrical systems and controls

Connect the cable to the machine and pull it in

Testing and inspection of electrical systems

I have been working for Infotech AG since 2015. In 2019, I took on the role of vocational trainer for automation technicians. As an HF electrician specialising in automation, I can always teach the apprentices something new and keep myself up to date.
